Square Flooring installs across Victoria, and we install flooring we supplied. One company owns the product and the workmanship, so there is no argument about which one caused the problem.
We install hybrid, laminate and SPC flooring across Victoria, for both homes and commercial sites. Installation is priced per square metre with a minimum charge on small jobs, and it is backed by a workmanship warranty separate from the product warranty. We install flooring supplied by Square Flooring only.
Standard flooring installation is priced separately from additional site works. Everything in the second column can be arranged — it is quoted as its own line rather than folded into a square metre rate, so you can see what you are paying for.
Our installation service is available for flooring supplied by Square Flooring. We do not take install-only work where the flooring came from somewhere else.
That is a deliberate limit rather than a sales tactic. When the same company imports the plank, holds the stock and lays the floor, a failure has one owner. Split the two and every problem becomes a conversation about whose fault it was.
We provide flooring installation across Victoria. Project location is generally not a limitation, subject to scheduling and the requirements of the job.
The warehouse is at Unit 48, 2 Cobham St, Reservoir, which puts most of Melbourne's northern corridor within ten kilometres. Distance affects scheduling more than it affects price.
Installation is priced per square metre. A minimum job charge may apply to smaller projects.
The final figure depends on the scope of work, the site conditions and any preparation or additional services the job needs, and it is confirmed as part of your quotation. We would rather measure your job than publish a rate that turns out not to apply to it.
The installation itself is usually the shortest part. What sets the date is everything before it — the quote, the site check, and whether the subfloor needs work.
In-stock product can be collected the day you buy it, so on a straightforward job the flooring is rarely the constraint.
Because it is a floating floor, there is no curing time. Nothing is glued or nailed, so the floor can be walked on as soon as it is finished and furniture can go back the same day.
For a sense of scale: a standard 60m² project over a sound, installation-ready subfloor is typically a one-day installation. That is the laying itself — it assumes the subfloor needs no preparation, which is the assumption most worth checking before you plan around it.
When the date lands depends on installer availability and our workload when you confirm. Where availability allows, that can be the following day or within the next few days. Through busy periods and around public holidays it runs longer. We schedule at the earliest date the job allows and work to your preferred timing where we can.
Installations are carried out by an established network of experienced subcontracted flooring installers, with capacity for projects from a single room to a full commercial fitout.
They are contractors rather than employees, and we would rather say so than let a page imply a payroll we do not have.
Our installations are backed by a workmanship warranty, which is separate from the manufacturer's product warranty on the flooring itself. The applicable terms are provided with your installation agreement.
The two cover different things. A manufacturing defect in a plank is a product matter; a floor laid without the right expansion allowance is a workmanship matter. Square Flooring's workmanship warranty applies where the installation was arranged or performed through us.
Our installation contractors carry their own Public Liability Insurance.
We undertake both residential and commercial flooring projects, from individual homes through to larger commercial fitouts.
The difference is rarely the laying — it is everything around it. A commercial job runs to a programme, often in stages, frequently out of hours, and usually with a specifier who wants the test reports before anyone orders anything. A home is one conversation, one date and one room order. We quote them differently because they are different jobs.

It is worth reading before installation day whether we are laying the floor or you are. If you are doing it yourself, it is the document your warranty depends on: a genuine manufacturing defect is not excluded because you laid the floor, but damage from incorrect installation is not a manufacturing defect.
If existing flooring, adhesive, backing or other material is suspected of containing asbestos, our installers will not disturb or remove it until it has been appropriately assessed.
Where asbestos is identified or suspected, you will need to arrange assessment and, where required, removal by a suitably qualified and licensed asbestos professional before the flooring installation proceeds. This is not a step we can work around, and it is not one we will quietly skip to keep a schedule.
